That’s what hubby’s been asking all week as he arrives home from work and I’m not here.
I’ve been working 12+ hours each day prepping for some huge work meetings next week. What does this mean? Well, basically I’m just too exhausted to blog when I get home. And, although there’s a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, I won’t actually begin to feel it’s warmth until NEXT Friday.
Arrrrghhhh…. Please bear with me!
If it’s any consolation, it’s not just my blogging schedule that’s suffering. I also haven’t done laundry, gone grocery shopping, cleaned the kitchen counters, straightened up the bedroom …. I could go on and on. Hey, you know what??? I just realized that it sort of feels like I’m doing a test run of living life at home as if I were hubby. Come home from work, plop myself on the couch and ignore everything around me…..
I’d like to share with you a few comments from my dear hubby from this past week.
What he says: “Where are you?”
What he means: “Will you be home to cook dinner tonight?”
What he says: “It’s so quiet when you’re not here”
What he means: “It’s so nice to not have to listen to you talking non-stop”
What he says: “What time do you think you’ll be home?”
What he means: “How many hours of video games will I be able to get in?”
What he says: “I’m sorry you have to work late tonight”
What he means: “HOORAY! I get to have full control of the remote and I can watch whatever I want on tv!”
What he says: “I might have to work late too”
What he means: “Don’t even think about giving me any sort of a ‘to-do’ list”
And there you have it…
As you can see, hubby is very supportive and compassionate and all-in-all probably LOVING the alone time he’s had this week.
You’re welcome hubby….. I hope you are enjoying this gift because in a little over a week, everything will be back to normal and you’ll be back to grumbling about having to watch HGTV & Hoarders with me!
